Utility Locating

To locate utility lines, the RD4000 and RD8000 pipe and cable utility locator equipment is designed for rapid and precise locating. This is accomplished by the induction of radio frequencies on the target line, power, gas, water and other lines buried in the ground.

Ground Penetrating Radar

GPR performs a quick and accurate subsurface scan to locate all metallic and non-metallic buried utilities. Pacific Coast Locators Inc. use GSSI Utility Scan GPR locating equipment which is excellent for locating underground storage tanks, vent lines, product lines, PVC and ABS pipes, clay pipe, concrete pipe, terracotta pipe and abandoned pipeline.

Vacuum Excavating

Vacmaster is the most efficient system for air and water exaction. This state-of-the-art tool allows digging in all soils, cobble, dirt and/or clay. The Vacmaster system can change from air to water exaction with just a flip of a switch providing easy and affordable pot holing. The system can operate from 200 feet away allowing easy access to areas difficult to reach.

Video Camera Inspection

Specialized CCTV crawler camera units are used for subsurface pipeline inspections. Underground service pipe, sewers, septic tanks, boiler tubes, conduits, chimneys and wells can be inspected even when undetectable by the human eye.

Leak Detection

Pacific Coast Locators Inc. can locate leaks under buildings, driveways, parking lots and streets by utilizing Metrotech's leading edge technology leak detector. Our technicians can locate sound waves generated by leaks, which are transmitted along the surface of the pipe. Metrotech's digital filter technology locates these sound waves and marks the area of the leak.
